Born 1979 in Budapest.
Studied comparative literature, English literature and political science at the Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest.
Since 2003 she is editor of the world literature series of the József Attila Circle, the association of young Hungarian authors.
Zsófia Lóránd has published works as a literary translator, in numerous essays on the connection of gender studies to romanticism and on contemporary female authors from former Yugoslavia. She is also the editor of »Non-professional reading and popular culture« (published 2006 with L’Harmattan Publishers, Budapest).
As a fellow for art coordination at Akademie Schloss Solitude, Zsófia Lórand will develop the exchange program with young Hungarian writers based on the Akademie’s work methods and network.
