Born 1977 in Stanford/California.

Wojtek Ziemilski works as a theater director and visual artist. He started his artistic career while living in Portugal, where he created and taught devised theater and contemporary performance.

His first show, Hamlet Light (2007), has been awarded with the national JAJ award. In 2009, he moved back to Warsaw, Poland. His Polish debut Small Narration, has been regularly shown in Poland and abroad.

His most recent show Prologue, premiering at the Krakow Theatrical Reminiscences Festival, is an inquiry into spectatorship and the possibility for action. His most recent visual work New Order, was a collaboration with a small ant colony in the vicinity of the BWA Warszawa art gallery.

Author of the New Art blog http://new-art.blogspot.com, as a critic, he collaborates with several art reviews in Poland and abroad.

Wojtek Ziemilski is a participant of the exchange program between Akademie Schloss Solitude and the Center for Contemporary Art, Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw.
