Born in Medellín/Colombia in 1982.
Tatyana Zambrano is a publicist and visual artist with an MA in Digital Art Movement and Information Technologies from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), 2018. She was part of the educational program SOMA, Mexico City/Mexico (2016) and the CAPACETE program, Rio de Janeiro/Brazil (2020).
Her projects blend art and advertising through the creation of political fictions from the perspective of a female gaze in the social context of Latin America. The projects are sometimes implemented via websites or TikTok, and, at other times, through scenarios involving videos, merchandising, props, jewelry, 3D printing, photos and employing parody, humor, absurdity and irony.
Zambrano teaches multimedia, humor in contemporary art, photography and video at the University of Antioquia and the Universidad del Bosque in Bogotá/Colombia. She is currently part of the collective Nmenos1. Her work has been recognized at the Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin, an event dedicated to new cinema and contemporary art. It was also included in the Official Selection of Latin American video art by the Getty Research Institute, Los Angeles/US, and featured in the Biennial of the Moving Image (BIM) in Buenos Aires/Argentina.
In 2023, she received an artist fellowship from the Stiftung Künstlerdorf Schöppingen in Schöppingen/Germany.
