Steffen Krebber

Born 1976 in Stuttgart/Germany.

Steffen Krebber studied composition with Marco Stroppa and Caspar Johannes at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart and with Rebecca Saunders at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln, Cologne/Germany. After his studies he worked on several projects, among others a concert with the Thürmchen-Ensemble in the Kunst-Station Sankt Peter Köln, and a language installation at the artists symposium of the Kunststiftung NRW at Kunstverein Köln.

In addition, he received various composing commissions, eg. for the ensemble]h[iatus with the support of the Kunststiftung NRW and the German Music Council and one for the Hörfest in Graz, Graz/Austria. Steffen Krebber received several scholarships such as a fellowship of the Kunststiftung Baden-Württemberg (2009), the Bernd-Alois-Zimmermann-Scholarship (2010) and a fellowship of the Künstlerhof Schreyahn, Lüchow/Germany (2012). Steffen Krebber lives and works in Cologne.
