Shilpa Gupta

Born 1976 in India.

Shilpa Gupta lives and works in Mumbai. She has had solo shows at the Museum voor Moderne Kunst Arnhem, Netherlands; Contemporary Arts Center in Cincinnati, OH/USA; OK Offenes Kulturhaus in Linz, Austria and Arnolfini – Center for Contemporary Arts in Bristol, UK; Lalit Kala Akademi in New Delhi, India; Galleria Continua in San Gimignano, Italy; Chemould Prescott Road in Mumbai; Galerie Yvon Lambert in Paris, France; and most recently at My East is Your West, organized by Gujral Foundation in Venice, Italy in 2015.

Gupta has participated in Younger Than Jesus at New Museum, New York, NY/USA; Berlin Biennale, Germany; Lyon Biennale, France; Gwangju Biennale, South Korea; Yokohama Triennale, Japan; Liverpool Biennale, UK, and Biennales at Moscow, Russia; Auckland, New Zealand; Seoul, South Korea; Havana, Cuba, and Sydney, Australia. Her work has been shown in Tate Modern, London, UK; Centre Pompidou, Paris, France; Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York, NY/USA; Devi Art Foundation, Gurugram, India; Daimler Chrysler Contemporary, Berlin, Germany; San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, CA/USA and Mori Museum, Tokyo, Japan; amongst others.
