Rodica Draghincescu

Born 1960 in Buzias/Rumania.

Studied comparative literature (French and Rumanian) at the West University Timisoara.

Teaching position at the West University Timisoara. Correspondent for the radio show „Rumania – Culture”.

Since 2001 member of the “Maison des Ecrivains” in Paris.

Numerous publications of her poetry, essays and novels (her most recent one will be translated into French and published), as well as articles in magazines and anthologies in Rumania, Italy, France and Germany, among others in “Streiflicht – eine Auswahl zeitgenössischer rumänischer Lyrik” (Dionysos 1994) and “Gefährliche Serpentinen – Rumänische Lyrik der Gegenwart” (Edition Druckhaus, 1998).

1998 Special prize of the International Bookfair in Bihor, Oradea/Rumania for her poetry.
