Rasha Hilwi is an Arab-Palestinian writer, cultural journalist and blogger. In 2002 she graduated from Terra-Santa-School in Acre, Israel. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in sociology, anthropology and a Bachelor from the Department of Leadership and Policy in Education from the University of Haifa, Israel in 2007.

Rasha Hilwi has been writing literature since a very young age. When she started her academic career in 2003, she began to write reports and articles for local Arab newspapers and magazines. From 2007 to 2009, she hosted a weekly culture and art radio show.

Today, Rasha Hilwi is a freelance cultural journalist. Her reports are published in major Arab newspapers and online media and cultural platforms, such as Al-Akhbar and Assafir newspapers. She also works as a media coordinator for the Work of Art-Project of The Arab Culture Association (ACA) in Haifa. Since 2009 she has been a member in the consultants board of Filistin Ashbab, a monthly cultural youth magazine by Jeel publishing in Ramallah/West Bank. From 2010 to 2015, she was a member in the editorial board of Qadita.net, a culture and literature website. Since 2007 she has been blogging in her own blog Zaghroda.

Rasha Hilwi is a fellow of Akademie Schloss Solitude in the field of cultural journalism, a special program supported by the Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung.
