Raed Bawayah

Born 1971 in Qatana/Palestine.

He studied photography at the Musrara School of Photography, New Media and Music in Jerusalem/Israel. In 2004 he went to France as a resident artist at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris.

Bawayah’s photographs were exhibited in several group exhibitions in Jerusalem, Um Al-Fahem, Tel Aviv and Ramallah. He also had solo exhibitions at the French Cultural Centres in Jerusalem and Nazareth, at the Franco-German Cultural Centre in Ramallah, at Al-Najah University in Nablus and Gaza and lately at the Mois de la photo in Paris, France.

In 2004 he participated in the Arab Photo Festival in Jordan under the theme »The Suffering of Palestinian Citizens«.
