Philipp Schaus

Philipp Schaus is a dramaturg and curator in the field of dance and currently works at tanzhaus nrw in Düsseldorf/Germany, where he curates the newcomer platform »Now&Next« and works with the team to develop the stage program and the content of the house. He co-curated the program series »Raving Choreographies« (2023). In dialog with Olivia Hyunsin Kim, he co-curated the festival »Volume Up« (2022) and the festival »Moving Concrete« (2021) together with the collective nutrospektif. With Sebastian Matthias he developed and realized the research lab »Post Internet Dances« (2023). He is co-founder of the digital climate art conference »#ClimArtCon« (2019) and Fellow of the International Summer Program at the Watermill Center in New York City/USA. He has worked for the Berlin Gorki Theater, the Münchner Kammerspiele, the Zadar Snova Festival/Croatia and for Robert Wilson.
