Petra Venzke

Born 1962, studies of architecture at the TH Darmstadt, 1987/88 studies at the Architectural Association, London. Work in the architecture office Behnisch und Partner, Stuttgart.

Until 2002 Petra Venzke worked as a scientific associate at the Bauhaus University in Weimar and then started work on her dissertation on “Natur als Idee. Bedeutungs- und Gestaltwandel von ‘Natur’ in der Stadt der Moderne” (Nature as an Idea. The Change in Meaning and Form of “Nature” in the Modern City).

In 2003 she initiated the tour agency for art trips with a focus on the cultural history of Weimar, Erfurt, Jena/Thüringen and Central Germany: “Lokaltermin. Weimarer Kultur- und Städtereisen”.
