Born 1987 in Stuttgart/Germany.

Paula Kohlmann works as a curator, freelance writer and in the independent theater scene. From 2008 to 2012 she studied literature and art history at Universität Stuttgart and studied abroad at King’s College London/Great Britain from 2010 to 2011. In 2015 she completed her master’s degree in literary studies and comparative literature at Freie Universität Berlin. Since 2011 she writes for several magazines. In the same year she founded the non-commercial, interdisciplinary project space LOTTE in Stuttgart together with two of her fellow students. Since the opening of LOTTE in 2012 she is responsible for the administration, co-direction, planning and realization of exhibitions and events.

Since 2015 she assists in the organization of the symposium Khybrid: Science Fiction, initiated by Khybrid in Studio 2046 Berlin. In 2014 she partook in the panel debate Art and Public at Künstlerhaus Stuttgart. Since 2014 she involves herself in independent theater projects in Berlin in cooperation with collectives such as Haus 1, Arianne Sommer or Zweite Reihe. In the context of the exhibition Autopoesis at Württembergischer Kunstverein Stuttgart in 2013 she spoke on »Die Illusionshaftigkeit der Sprache der Liebe«. Since 2013 she works with Lesegruppe A-Z – Sammlung Marzona in Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin, where she organized the panel discussion with Patrizia Bach and Kathrin Busch.
