Hans Winkler. Born 1955 in Rott am Inn.

Stefan Micheel. Born 1955 in Bochum.

After founding the Produzentengalerie „365“ in Berlin 1985, both artists have been working together as p.t.t.red (paint the town red) since 1988. 1989 and 1990 they received funding from the Berlin Senate for the site-specific installations „goldener Schnitt“ and „rotverschiebung“.

1995 P.S. 1, New York residency and 1997 grant from the Kunstfonds Bonn.

Recent exhibitions and projects: „RED“, Statue of Liberty, NY/Siegessäule, Berlin (1996); „Treffpunkt Niemandsland“, Brennerpass (1997) and Berlin (1998); „Human Encyclopedia“, Chicago (1998) and Kunstbank, Berlin (1999).
