Born in Lu Shou/China, 1956
From 1975 to 1979, he did agricultural work in Sichuan (he, too, was sent there in the course of the cultural revolution). He spent the following four years at the army.
In 1984 he became vice-president of the “Sichuan Young Poets Association”, a nonofficial organisation.
From 1986 to 1993, he worked at the academy for social sciences in Sichuan. In the past years, he was a visiting lecturer at English and American Universities.
Since 1979, Ouyang Jianhe has been publishing poetry.
His works have been published in China as well as in many other countries. In 1993, his book Die Glasfabrik was published as part of the series “Lyrik im Hölderinturm” (poetry in the Hölderlin tower). In 1995, it was followed by the anthology Chinesische Akrobatik – Harte Stühle (konkursbuch Verlag).
