Oscar Strasnoy

Born 1970 in Buenos Aires/Argentinia.

Studied piano and conducting in Buenos Aires, composition at the Conservatoire de Paris and at the MHS Frankfurt with Micha‘l Levinas, Hans Zender, John Carewe and Gérard Grisey.

Selected performances of his compositions: IRCAM, Radio France and at the Berlin Philharmonic.

1996-1998 music director of the Orchestre International of Paris.

Recent compositions: »Midea«, performed in the Rome Opera House, »The End«, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, »Hochzeitsvorbereitungen«, Paris.

Multiple fellowships, i.e. from the French and Argentinian governments and for the Villa Kujoyama (Kyoto), Guggenheim Fellowship (New York).
