Nelly Danker

Born 1978 in Karlsruhe/Germany.

Nelly Danker studied stage direction at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin/Germany from 1999 to 2004. She works as a director.

Recent projects (selection): La Bohème by Ruggero Leoncavallo, Luzerner Theater (2009); Lonely House by Nelly Danker, music by Kurt Weill, Hamburgische Staatsoper, opera stabile (2008); Die Schnecke by Moritz Eggert, Luzerner Theater (2007); Ich weiß nicht, was soll es bedeuten by Hannah Dübgen and Nelly Danker with German folk songs, Konzerthaus Berlin (2006).

She is a fellow of Akademie Musiktheater heute from 2008 to 2010.

At the Akademie Schloss Solitude Nelly Danker directs Niccolò Jommelli’s opera Didone abbandonata, which will be staged in the court of Schloss Solitude in summer 2009.
