Nayantara Kotian works as a theater director, designer and award-winning filmmaker. She is a graduate of the National Institute of Design, Gujarat/India and recently completed her master studies in performance design at Central Saint Martins at the University of the Arts London, Great Britain.
Her filmography includes the multi-award winning One Show Less (2005) and The Other Olympics (2008), which was commissioned and broadcasted by Al Jazeera English. She is the co-founder of Quaff Theatre (2008) and Crow (2014) along with the actor and writer Prashant Prakash. In London she has written and directed The Bliss of Solitude for Theatre Delicatessen (2014) and The George and Hazel Show at the Battersea Arts Centre (2013). Recent design credits include Clive and Other Stories at The Asylum, London (2014), and All’s Well That Ends Well at Shakespeare’s Globe, London (2012).
She is the recipient of the British Council’s Charles Wallace India Trust scholarship 2013–2014 and attended the Berlinale Talents, Germany in 2008.
