Mira Witte studied new German literature at Freie Universität Berlin, Germany, and graduated in 2015 with a master’s thesis on Das kartografische Prinzip in Rolf Dieter Brinkmanns »Rom, Blicke«. In 2012 she received her Master of Education degree in the subjects biology and German philology from FU Berlin.
Since 2013 she has been working for various nonfiction publishing houses, such as Merve Verlag in Berlin or organe-press in Freiburg im Breisgau.
