Born 1979 in Tehran.
Mehdi Saeedi studied art and design (advanced level) at Cambridge University in the United Kingdom.
For his work he won numerous awards, among others, the first in the First International Biennial of the Islamic World Poster in Teheran (2004), the Grand Prize at the Taiwan International Poster Design Award, Taiwan (2007) and the Top Award at the 15th International Invitational Poster Exhibition in Colorado/USA.
In 2004, Saeedi received a scholarship from the Teheran Contemporary Arts Museum to study and research in Paris.
He was a jury member for several competitions and exhibitions in Iran and internationally such as the 10th International Biennial of the Poster, Mexico (2008), the 3rd International Biennial of the Poster in Bolivia (2009), the First Biennial of Iranian Typography Posters (2005) and the 16th Teheran International Book Exhibition in 2005.
Saeedi’s works were shown widely in solo and group exhibitions in Asia, Europe, North and South America and Iran. Solo exhibitions: »Gardens of Iran«, at Xerxes Fine Arts, London/United Kingdom, 2008, and at the 10th International Biennial of the Poster, Xalapa/Mexico.
Mehdi Saeedi lectures internationally, among others in Bolivia, France, Brazil, Mexico and Iran. A collection of his works was published in 2004.
