Leigha Dennis

Born 1984 in Lansing, MI/USA.

Leigha Dennis is a designer and researcher based in New York City, NY/USA, where she investigates the convergence of architecture, communications, and digital culture in her architectural and strategic design practice, and as co-director of the Architecture Online Lab. She is an adjunct professor of architecture at the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation at Columbia University, New York, and was a Muschenheim Fellow at the Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Michigan, MI/USA from 2013 to 2014. She is currently a fellow at NEW INC at the New Museum in New York City. Leigha Dennis holds a master’s degree in architecture from Columbia University (2011), and a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Michigan (2006).

She has worked in San Francisco, CA/USA and New York, and has established a number of collaborations, amongst others with the Buell Center, MOS, the Network Architecture Lab, and 2×4. 

Her design, research, and writing have been published in New Geographies, Bracket, the New City Reader, Junk Jet, The Buell Hypothesis, and ARPA Journal. She has exhibited at the New Museum, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Museum of the City of New York, the Van Alen Institute in New York, and the University of Michigan.
