Born in Accra/Ghana in 1995.
Kenneth Boa-Amponsem is a multidisciplinary artist and creative director currently based in Accra. With a BSc in Computer Engineering from the University of Ghana (2013–2017), Kenneth uniquely blends technical expertise with a passion for art that focuses on contemporary expressions of culture, history and the human experience. As the Creative Director of HMLND Creative Company and Artistic Advisor for Think Education Ghana, Kenneth’s work reflects themes of freedom, unity, and national identity.
Boa-Amponsem’s practice spans both fine art and fashion, emphasizing the power of wearable art to convey messages beyond traditional spaces. Notable projects include The Manifesto (2020–2022), a fine art and clothing project, and For God and Country (2022–2023), an exploration of fine art, clothing and textiles. His recent exhibitions include The Power of the People (2024, Accra), The High Notes (2024, Accra), and DYSTOPIA (2022, London). In 2022, Kenneth was recognized as one of ApuliaAste’s »100 Artists for the Future«, a testament to his contributions to both the national and international art scenes.
