Born 1980 in Freiburg/Germany.
Karsten Krause studied visual communication at the Hochschule für bildende Künste, Hamburg. He lives and works in Hamburg. Together with Philip Widmann he realized his first feature-length film Szenario (2014), which celebrated world premiere at the 64th Berlinale. In 2012, the also together with Philip Widmann produced movie Die Frau des Fotografen (2011) was awarded the Deutsche Kurzfilmpreis in Gold in the category »Dokumentarfilm bis 30 Minuten« (documentary up to 30 minutes).
Other works: Cadono pietre (2014), I AM HERE (2013), You and Me (2009) und Die Zeit, die es braucht (2008).
Karsten Krause is a fellow in cooperation with MFG Filmförderung Baden-Württemberg.
