Born 1962 in Salzgitter-Bad.

1982-89 studies of organ, musical theory and composing at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik, Karlsruhe.

Since 1988 lecturer for the subject of musical theory at the Hochschule für Musik, Karlsruhe. Since oct. 2000, professorship for musical theory and analysis of contemporary music at the Hochschule für Musik “Hanns Eisler”, Berlin.

Awards and grants: Prizewinner at the international contest for composing “Forum junger Komponisten” of the WDR, Cologne.

Since 1990 multimedia projects in cooperation with the ZKM, Karlsruhe.
Some of his works music were performed onn different occasions, for example at the festival “ADEvantgarde”, Munich, 1991; and the “Forum junger Komponisten”, Prague, 1993.
