Jeffrey Döring studied theater science, philosophy and German language and literature at Freie Universität Berlin/Germany. During this time he founded and directed his first theater group Theater-Viertel. He continued his studies with a Master in dramaturgy at Akademie für Darstellende Kunst in Ludwigsburg/Germany where he collaborated with students of Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg.
His work shifts between medial installation and gamificationed performance. They have been performed in Germany at RAUMWELTEN, Ludwigsburg; Nibelungen-Festspiele Worms; Festival Premières, Karlsruhe and at Theater Rampe in Stuttgart.
Jeffrey Döring is the chairman and artistic director of Goldstaub e. V., where he realized the opera for deaf persons Rat Krespel. From November 2016 to March 2017, he was artist-in-residence at THEATERWERKSTATT SCHWÄBISCHE ALB of the Landestheater Tübingen/Germany. In 2017, he was awarded the Marie-Zimmermann-Stipendium for dramaturgy of Akademie Schloss Solitude. His recent work Codewort: Magnus – ein interaktives Theatergame was performed at PODIUM Festival 2017 at Altes Zollamt in Esslingen/Germany in May 2017.
