Ivana Ivković
Born 1975 in Zagreb/Croatia.
Ivana Ivković earned a master’s degree in science in structural engineering in 2000 and a Master of Arts degree in dramaturgy in 2010 from the University of Zagreb. Her main focus of interest are the overlaps between theater, contemporary dance, new media technology, sound art and radiophony.
From 2008 to 2012 she was editor-in-chief of Frakcija Journal for Performing Arts and is member of the editorial department up to today. She published various articles in numerous magazines, such as Maska, The Drama Review or TkH and is co-editor of DemoKino – Virtual Biopolitical Agora with Davide Grassi, published by Aksioma und Maska in 2006. As one of the program coordinators at the Center for Drama Art in Zagreb she organized lectures and workshops.
She is member of the theater collective BADco and worked on numerous artistic projects, among them the project Responsibility for Things Seen: Tales in Negative Space, which was shown at the 54th International Art Exhibition – la Biennale di Venezia in 2011.
Ivana Ivković participates regularly in festivals, symposia and other public events and gives workshops and coaching in dramaturgy: Gibanica Festival, Ljubljana/Slovenia (also member of the jury, 2007), Bauhaus Kolleg, Dessau/Germany (2007), Steirischer Herbst, Graz/Austria (2009), Exodos Festival, Ljubljana (2011), Tanzquartier, Wien/Austria (2011), Brunel University, London/Great Britain (2012).
