Haegue Yang

Born in 1971 in Seoul/South Korea.

Haegue Yang studied art at the Cooper Union in New York and at the Staatliche Hochschule für Bildende Künste, Städelschule in Frankfurt a. Main. She was master student in the class of Georg Herold.

Haegue Yang was awarded the Cremer Preis of the Stiftung Sammlung Cremer in 2005. In 2003 she received a fellowship from the Delfina Studio Trust in London and was laureate of the Maria-Sybilla-Merian Prize from the State of Hessia/Germany.
