George Dan Coman

Born 1975 in Nasaud/Romania.

Coman studied philosophy at the Avram Iancu University in Cluj-Napoca/Romania until 1998. He is a writer of poetry and also works as a lecturer of philosophy.

In 2009, he published works in the Anthologie de la poesie roumaine contemporaine (Paris/France). His own anthology d great coman (2007) and his poetry book ghinga (2005) were released with Vinea Publishing House in Bucharest/Romania. In 2003 he published The year of the yellow mole with Timpul publishers in Iasi/Romania.

In 2008, Coman took part at the 3rd International Literature Festival in Novi Sad/Serbia with a poetical performance.

For The year of the yellow mole he has been given the Mihai Eminescu Prize in 2004. In the same year, he received the Prize of the Romanian Writers Union for his debut.
