Born 1982 in Es Castell/Spain.
Francisco Vallejo Pons started to play chess at the age of five. He won several titles at a very early stage of his career, including the 2nd place at the World Championship under 10 years (1991) and the 2nd place at the World Championship under 12 years (1993). Furthermore, he was the winner of the World Championship under 18 years (2000). In 1999, he received the title Grand Master of Chess.
In the last decade, Francisco Vallejo Pons participated in various single and team tournaments. In 2003, he played for the German Schachbundesliga and was the winner of the German Championship. In 2004 and 2005, he played for NAO Paris and won the European Championship; in 2010, he played for the Spanish league and became the Spanish Champion. In 2005 and 2009, he was the Spanish Champion as single chess player.
Currently, Francisco Vallejo Pons is playing for the team OSG Baden-Baden, Baden-Baden/Germany.
