Florin Flueras

Born 1978 in Târgu Mureș /Romania.

Florin Flueras studied choreography at the National University of Theater and Film (UNATC) in Bucharest/Hungary and psychology at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Târgu Mureș.

He is currently involved in projects like: Biosorcery, Presidential Candidacy, Postspectacle, Romanian Dance History, Bezna, Artleaks, Robin Hood Fund. He is exploring and problematizing the political component of art and the aesthetic component of politics – mainly through practices and ideas around the concept of Postspectacle. He also uses concepts and practices like Second Body, Bioaffection and Biosorcery to develop an environment in which slightly different forms of life than the current Homo Economicus can appear.

Florin Flueras worked and presented his work in contexts like: Tanzquartier Wien/Austria, DeSingle Antwerp/Netherlands, Bouge B Festival, Springdance Utrecht/Netherlands, Tanz Schritt Weise Festival Graz/Austria, Power Station Ljubljana/Slovenia, Kaai Theatre Brussels/Belgium, Drama Hus Oslo/Norway, HAU Berlin, Jardim Equatorial Sao Paulo/Brazil etc.
