Federico Guzmán

Born 1964 in Sevilla.

Most recent solo exhibition: “quienes son los dueños de las plantas?” (Tomás March, Valencia, 2001), “Matitas divinas” (Andalusian Center for Contemporary Art, Sevilla, 2001) and “Echando raices en el aire” (Juana de Aizpuru, Madrid, 1998).

Numerous group exhibitions: “Da Adversidade Vivemos” (Musée d’art moderne de la ville de Paris, 2001), “Museo de la Calle” (Museum of the National University of Colombia, Bogotá, 2000) and “Leaving the Island” (Pusan Contemporary Art Festival, Metropolitan Art Museum, Pusan, Korea, 2000).

Tutor of numerous workshops and seminars. 2000 prize winner of the Beca Generación together with Andrés Corredor (Fundación Caja of Madrid).

1998 “Junta de Andalucía” grant for cultural projects.
