Eva Reiter studied recorder and viola da gamba at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, where she graduated with distinction. She continued her studies at the Sweelinck-Conservatorium in Amsterdam/Netherlands and completed both MA degrees cum laude. Currently, she is giving concerts as a soloist and with different baroque orchestras (i. a. De Nederlandse Bachvereeniging), as well as with ensembles for early music (Unidas, Ensemble Mikado, Le Badinage) and with ensembles for contemporary music (i. a. Ictus, Klangforum Wien, Trio Elastic3, Duo BAND). For her work as a composer, she received among other awards, the Österreichische Startstipendium für Komposition (Austrian fellowship for composition), the Publicity Preis of the SKE, the Förderungspreis der Stadt Wien (award of the City of Vienna), and the Queen Marie José International Composition Prize. Alle Verbindungen gelten nur jetzt is one of the selected works of the Rostrum of Composers (IRC) 2009. Eva Reiter’s compositions have been performed at various international festivals for example Transit, Leuven/Belgium; Ars Musica, Brussels/Belgium; ISCM World New Music Festival 2006, Stuttgart/Germany; generator and Wien Modern, Wiener Konzerthaus. Her works are performed by different ensembles and soloists among others Ictus, Klangforum Wien, BAND, Elastic3. Eva Reiter regularly performs her musical works at famous festivals for early and new music.
