Born 1977 in Buenos Aires/Argentina.

Eduardo Moguillansky studied composition and orchestral conducting at Universidad Católica Argentina in Buenos Aires from 1995 to 2002, orchestral conducting at the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg from 2002 to 2005, composition at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart from 2006 to 2007, and since 2008 has been studying musicology and music informatics at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe.

Since 2006 he has been working as a freelance composer. From 2001 to 2002 he was an assistant professor for composition at the Universidad Católica Argentina.

Compositions (selection): »Cire perdue« for big ensemble, commission for the Donaueschinger Musiktage 2008; »aide memoire I: a is for alberti« for ensemble, commission for the ensemble ascolta and the Darmstädter Ferienkurse für Neue Musik, July 2008; »Double« for ensemble, commission for the 20th anniversary of Klangforum Wien, Wiener Konzerthaus, March 2007; »Limites« for trumpet and ensemble, collaboration with Ensemble Modern at the Konzerthaus Berlin in June 2006.

In February 2010 »Difference« will be performed, a commission of the SWR for the RSO Stuttgart.

Eduardo Moguillansky was granted a fellowship of Künstlerhof Schreyahn in 2008/2009. In 2007, he won the first prize at the Impuls composition competition in Vienna. He furthermore received a fellowship of the Argentinean Antorchas Foundation from 2002 to 2005 and a fellowship of the Mozarteum foundation from 2006 to 2007.
