Daniel Hjorth

Born 1973 in Mellbystrand/Sweden.

Studied composition in Gotland and Malmö.

Works as a freelance composer.

Numerous performances, include: “Drum for Your Life” (1999/2000), “Saxophony” (2000), “Stop” (2000, Artgenda, Helsinki), “Rainbow Dance” (2000/01), “Ikea-Ad lib” (2001, Ikea stores, Malmö).

1996 first prize in the Gotland Chamber Music Festival Composiiton Competition for “Blood, Death and Sexy Legs”. 1997 first prize in the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra Composition Competition for “Crop Circles”.
