Born 1973 in São Paulo/Brazil.

Cássio Santiago studied performing arts at UNICAMP – the University of Campinas in São Paulo between 1992 and 1996. He works as performer, actor, director, researcher, teacher, and dramaturg.

Since 1989 he has been collaborating and performing in over 50 plays and performances with several theater and performance groups in Brazil. He was founder and artictic director of the Zaum Performance Group from 2001 to 2006. As artistic director of the Ueinzz Theatre Company (2007–2011) he created and directed the performance Finnegans Ueinzz, presented in São Paulo (2009), Helsinki/Finland (2009) and Rio de Janeiro/Brazil (2010). In 2011, he worked on Kafka’s Amerika (part of the project Kafkamachine) presented in Lisbon/Portugal, Santos/Brazil and São Paulo. In 2012, he created and directed the performance Double of Rossmann, presented in Brussels/Belgium.

Currently, he is working as resident professor of performance at the São Paulo Theater School, and professor of performance studies at MAM (Modern Art Museum of São Paulo) since 2011.
