Born 1978 in Werne/Germany.
Anne-Kathrin Heier studied cultural studies, political science as well as creative writing and cultural journalism in Hildesheim/Germany (diploma 2004). By the end of 2009, she worked as an editor especially for young German language literature and for new Turkish literature.
Anne-Kathrin Heier received numerous fellowships, such as a fellowship from the LCB in 2008, a fellowship of the Foundation Künstlerdorf Schöppingen in 2009 as well as a scholarship of the Berliner Senat in 2010.
