Born 1968 in Sindelfingen (Germany).

Studied arts education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart. Works and lives as an artist in Berlin and Stuttgart.

Various exhibitions and projects include: Pimui-Mobil-Studio (Kunstverein Ludwigsburg, 1998), German Open (Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg, 1999/2000), Videonale 9 (Kunstverein Bonn, 2001), Pimui Pictures: La ballade des gens heureux (Palais de Tokyo, Paris und Kunststiftung Baden-Württemberg, 2002), pimui home recordings 2 (Galerie für zeitgenössische Kunst, Leipzig 2003), Believe it or not (Künstlerhaus Bethanien, 2004), Now is the time (Kunsthaus und Medienturm, Graz 2005).

Alexander Györfi received a residency grant in 2001 from the Kunststiftung Baden-Württemberg and in 2004 a fellowship from the Cité internationale des Arts, Paris.
