Akseli Virtanen is a theorist of new political economy and teaches at the School of Business of the Aalto University in Helsinki/Finland.
He is currently working on eight experiments on coming forms of politics and organization, among them the Robin Hood contra-investment bank of the precariat and the Kafkamachine film project, which is based on a plan by Félix Guattari. Furthermore, he is coordinator and research director of Future Art Base, a new semi-autonomous unit of artistic research and social innovation. Amongst other publications, Akseli Virtanen is the author of Arbitrary Power. A Critique of Biopolitical Economy (n-1 Publications, forthcoming 2013).
