Paulina Metzscher
Born in Hamburg in 1995, lives in Berlin/Germany.
Helena Weise lives and works as a freelance journalist in Berlin. She studied political science and law at the Rhenish Friedrich Wilhelm University of Bonn and Bahçeşehir University in Istanbul from 2014 to 2020 and subsequently attended the Reutlingen School of Reportage. She produces reports, long reads, and features for various media, including GEO, Deutschlandfunk, and Psychologie Heute. Her work revolves around the topics of mental health and trauma, gender inequality and queerness, flight, and exile.
She has been awarded the Gabriel Grüner Scholarship (2022), the Close-Up Scholarship (2023), and the Media Prize for Science Journalism of the German Society for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, Psychosomatics and Neurology (2023), among others.
