The Akademie Schloss Solitude is pleased to announce the names of the 64 selected fellows for the 2024 to 2026 period. They were chosen by fifteen international jurors, who were nominated by the jury core group consisting of Marie-Hélène Gutberlet, Neo Muyanga, and Fotini Lazaridou-Hatzigoga.

Over a time span of three months, 7,510 artists and scientists from more than 140 countries registered on the application website to receive information about the application process for the selection of the 19th Solitude generation.
Among them 4,063 candidates submitted their application. The jury awarded a total of 55 fellowships to 64 applicants from 34 countries, including seven artist collectives. As is often the case with artists and scholars, who tend to be highly mobile, many fellows do not live in the country where they were born and raised; often, they maintain residences in more than one country.

With the finalisation of the selection process, the fellowship program of Akademie Schloss Solitude has been defined until the end of 2026. Starting in October 2024, the first fellows of the new generation will arrive. Additional arrival dates are scheduled for April and October 2025, as well as April 2026.

The next application round for the general residency program of Akademie Schloss Solitude will most likely take place at the end of 2025. The exact dates will be announced in due time.
