For the third time Karolina Halatek’s light artwork »Terminal« will be on display in Gerlingen
For the third time since 2016 the light artwork Terminal of former fellow Karolina Halatek will be on display on the Rathausplatz in Gerlingen. From 25.10. to 25.11.2019 the artwork invites passers-by to take a moment to step out of what is known and mundane into a new unexpected dimension of light. Entering the tunnel-like space of dazzling, bright white light the visitors find an opportunity to contemplate and focus on their own sense of self and to forget about their daily life for a moment.
Terminal was already exhibited in autumn 2018 and within the framework of the light festival »Aufstiege« that took place in collaboration with the KulturRegion Stuttgart and the City of Gerlingen in autumn 2016.
Karolina Halatek was a fellow from August to November 2016 as part of the »New Networks« project, a cooperation of Akademie Schloss Solitude and the Center for Contemporary Art, Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw, with financial support by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute in Warsaw.
