Akademie Schloss Solitude invites under the slogan »Solitude sieht die Welt – Die Welt sieht Solitude« to this year’s Summer Festival on July 18, 2015.
In July 1990 Akademie Schloss Solitude quietly admitted its first fellows because in that year there was no Summer Festival. 25 years later it is time to make up for it.
In the anniversary year a very special Summer Festival with a rich program, with music and literature, with films and many pictures that tell from 25 years, with wonderful speeches and risky flight attempts has been planned.
The official program starts on 7 p.m. Tours through the Akademie are offered half-hourly from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

7 p.m. Welcome Adress
Welcome Adress by Jean-Baptiste Joly with speeches by Teresia Bauer, MdL (Minister of Science, Research and the Arts of the state of Baden-Württemberg) and Dr. Dieter Spöri, MdL (Vice Prime Minister ret., chairman of the board of trustees of Akademie Schloss Solitude) and ceremonial adress in English by Dubravka Ugresic* (author)
Dodo Schielein will play compressions of various piano pieces throughout music history.
From 8 p.m. Chronicles of Solitude
A film by Manuel Ferrari*, presented by Andreas Bolm (continuous program)

Readings from Solitude Atlas with amongst others Amandeep Sandhu*, Michelle Sterling*, Elisa Calosi*, Hamed Taheri*, Félix Kama*, Kinga Tóth*, Annemarie Ni Churréain*, Matthias Bumiller*, Phil Baber*, Tod Wodicka*, Sahar Qawasmi*, Dietrich Heißenbüttel*, Dominic Otiang’a*, Eva Christina Zeller*. German translations will be read by Barabara Stoll and Johannes Wördemann.
10.30 p.m. Le bip de l’âme und 19miracles
Multimedia performance by Magali Daniaux* & Cédric Pigot* together with Hermann Lion.
The evening will be hosted by Bernhard Dechant*.
Besides the fesitval program new exhibitions and installations by Maja Markovic* (cabinett), Sahar Qawasmi* (Unterer Hirschgang) and Nida Sinnokrot* (Studio 16) as well as 1000 Bilder sagen mehr als ein Wort, 25 years Akademie Schloss Solitude with 25 screens (Hirschgang) can be seen.
The Solitude-bookshop is situated in Herman’s Library, first floor.
