SOLITUDE NIGHT

After the Solitude Day in 2011 and 2012, the Akademie finally hosts another Solitude Night, a big summer feast with numerous artists, and a nice program including readings, performances, a concert and not to forget food, bar and DJs during the night.

For everybody who always wanted to have a look behind the curtain we offer two guided tours through some private and public spaces of the Akademie and the current exhibition, starting at 6 pm and 6.30 pm. 

Drinks will be served by the staff members and food (Maultaschen, Sausages, Flammkuchen and Crêpes) will be provided by mobile caterers from the Stuttgart area.

In bad weather, the Solitude Night takes place inside.

7:30 pm: Welcoming speech in the courtyard, Jean-Baptiste Joly
8:00 pm: Performance »PLANO B« by Thiago Granato, Guibal-Saal
9:00 pm Concert with pieces by Peter Jakober and Michael Moser, Barn
9:45 pm: Performance »PLANO B« by Thiago Granato, Guibal-Saal
10:15 pm: Readings on the stairs of the castle, with Katharina Bendixen, Anne Kawala and Doug Rice
Katharina Bendixen reads the short story »In die Wälder« from her book »Gern, wenn du willst«
Doug Rice reads from his latest novel »The Sacred Book of Silence« (Das Heilige Buch der Stille), published with Edition Solitude in October 2013. 

from 11 pm: Bar and DJs

You can reach the Akademie with bus 92 direction Leonberg/Heslach Vogelrain, stop at Solitude, approx. 30 minutes. If you come by car, please use the provided parking areas.
