OZZ AND ENSSLIN IN THE PUBLIC WILDERNESS—LECTURE AND TALK

The artist and current Solitude fellow ozz presents his work and subsequently discusses the »wilderness of art in public space« with Prof. Felix Ensslin.

ozz, born 1978 in Istanbul/Turkey, studied at the best schools inside and outside Europe. He abandoned his enrollment in kindergarten because he hated to be obligated to sleep during the best time of the day. In primary school, he represented his class in literature and painting competitions. When he was nine years old, he won the neighborhood competition in hanging from a branch of a tree with only one arm for more than two minutes. Today, he is still climbing, hanging, falling, injuring himself, and he keeps on climbing. He constantly gives himself roles to do things he would not do as himself. Currently, he is working on his restaurant where he will be serving specific regional dishes. He also studies the mating habits of bears. He has already published two albums, three books, and a few articles. Tonight, he is going to make himself a nice dinner, open some red wine, get some truffle as desert, and then he is going to save the earth. (Text by ozz)
