Artist Talk: Alexander Schellow in conversation with Jean-Baptiste Joly and Angela Matyssek

From February 17 until April1, the works of the Berlin-based artist Alexander Schellow are on view in the “Frischzelle” exhibition series for young art in the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart. On this occasion, the artist discusses the relationship between drawing and animated film, the mark as a compositional element and the foundations of human perception with Akademie Director Jean-Baptiste Holy and Angela Matyssek, the Scientific Assistant in the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart.

Alexander Schellow (*1974 in Hannover) studied visual art in Berlin and Glasgow. In 2002 he was a master student at the University of the Arts in Berlin. He works in the areas of drawing, animated film and performance installations and has taken part in numerous solo and group exhibitions. Schellow is a 2006/2007 Akademie fellow.

Admission with a valid museum ticket (5,-/3,5 Euro). The discussion takes place in the collections area.
