Leone Contini

Geboren 1976 in Florenz/Italien.

Leone Contini schloss 2011 sein Studium mit einer Laurea (äquivalent zu einem Master of Arts) in Philosophie und Ethnoanthropologie an der Università degli Studi di Siena/Italien ab. Er arbeitet als unabhängiger Ethnograph und Künstler.

Derzeit ist er involviert in TRACES – Transmitting contentious cultural heritages with the arts, erarbeitet er ein Projekt in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Museo Nazionale Preistorico Etnografico »Luigi Pigorini« in Rom/Italien.

Leone Continis letzte Projekte waren: Wō wō wō im Museo delle Culture (MUDEC) in Mailand/Italien (2017), The Bank of the Migrant Seeds an der Cittadellarte – Fondazione Pistoletto in Biella/Italien (2016). Von 2013 bis 2015, präsentierte er Imagined Menu im Kunstraum München/Deutschland und im Museo di arte moderna e contemporanea di Trento e Rovereto (MART)/Italien and at Kunstverein, Amsterdam/Netherlands. 2015, nahm er an der 3rd edition of the Biennial of D-0 Ark Underground, Konjic/Bosnien und Herzegowina und an der 124,908 – SOS – Self Organised Systems, the 2nd Tbilisi Triennial in Rustavi und Tbilisi/Georgien 2015 teil.

Er war Stipendiat folgender Programme: Residenza connettiva an der Cittadellarte – Fondazione Pistoletto in Biella/Italien 2016, at The Politics of Food, I and II edition/ Great Britain 2014/2015; bei Kronika, Bytom/Poland 2015; bei der International Artists’ Association Khoj im Programm InContext public art ecology in New Delhi/Indien 2014.
