The Akademie Schloss Solitude is pleased to announce that former fellow Manos Tsangaris (music/sound, 1994) will become President of the Akademie der Künste in Berlin.
On May 25, 2024, during its 62nd General Assembly in Berlin, the Akademie der Künste elected composer Manos Tsangaris as President and architecture publicist Anh-Linh Ngo (juror for Akademie Schloss Solitude in the Spatial sphere of practice, 2020–2021) as Vice President. Both were elected with a substantial majority.
With this new leadership, the terms of Jeanine Meerapfel as President and Kathrin Röggla as Vice President come to a close, as per the statutes. Both served in their respective roles for nine years.
Currently, the Akademie der Künste has 407 international members across its six sections: Visual Arts, Architecture, Music, Literature, Performing Arts, and Film and Media Arts. All terms are three years in length, with the possibility of re-election up to two additional terms, as stipulated by the statutes.
The Akademie Schloss Solitude warmly congratulates Manos Tsangaris and Anh-Linh Ngo on their election.
